So the plague has been in our home since December 4th. It’s Dec 31 and I’m ready for it to get the *F* out of my house! I’m seriously moments away from spraying Lysol on everything and everyone! Isabelle is axiously starting to count down the days until her birthday. Madeline is counting down the days until Christmas again……too bad she hasn’t figured out that her birthday will come sooner than Christmas!
The kids had a wonderful Christmas! They had 3 Christmas’s this year. First one was with Auntie and Uncle while we were in Windsor for our house hunting trip. They got lots of neat activities and toys. Auntie even took them to see Santa!! Their next Christmas was with us at home on Christmas day. They were thrilled that Santa knew just want to bring them! Mommy loved her gift too! A Keurig!! I don’t think it’s stopped brewing coffee or teas or hot chocolate since it came out of the box!! Their third Christmas was with my parents and Uncle Rob at their house later Christmas Day. We also had a very yummy dinner there too!!
It’s amazing how getting all new toys, books etc can really tire the kids out. Early to bed that night!! We’ve even had to throw in a few mandatory naps here in there. Isabelle has been out of school for a week now, and even though she only goes half days, I wish they were back to school today!! They have lots to play with, however she gets bored easily and because we are also trying to get ready to move, I just don’t have a lot of spare time I can dedicate to entertaining the kids. Thankfully it has snowed and I can send them out after 20 minutes of getting all three dressed!
So the house in Lakeshore is ours! We got the good news on the 24th of Dec! Merry Christmas to us!! We are going to be headed down for the night on the day of possession. Just to get the keys, show the kids the house and then come back home to return to the chaos of getting ready for the movers to come the following week. I’m so excited for this move, but nervous at the same time. The last time we moved the twins were just 8 weeks old roughly and Isabelle was probably 18 months or so. It was a little easier with them so small. Now we have to keep them occupied and happy while all their fun stuff gets packed up into boxes and we try to clean the house up. I believe there will be a family discussion soon about how this is all going to go down. It never goes to plan but that’s life. So long as I can sort of keep things together it will be okay. Wish us luck!
I will probably re-post once we’ve settled and are mostly unpacked! Happy New Year to everyone!!
